    You could volunteer as an after school playwork assistant, help streamline our office systems, use your IT skills or design skills to help with marketing activity or our research work.

Voluntary work for the Kingfisher gives good experience for paid employment. You get 100% support, full training and your expenses paid.

Head Office
 
We currently have a range of volunteer opportunities available in our Head Office; qualifications or previous experience is not essential for all roles.

Current roles include:

  • Research Assistant
  • Voluntry Assistant
  • Volunteer Coordinator

After School Club Roles 
(Based at our various sites around London)
 
You may be a student fulfilling a course requirement, wanting to gain some experience with children, an individual with a special skill to share such as cookery, music, textiles or dancing or just interested in finding out more about working with children or how children learn through play settings. The following roles are available:
 
  • After School Admin Helper
  • After School Play Assistant
  • Cookery Club Assistants
  • Homework Club Assistants
  • Sport/Team Games Coordinators
  • Textiles Club Assistant
  • Volunteering in our summer camps is also an option

Commitment
 
All our volunteering roles are designed to fit around your schedule. We don’t demand a min number of hours per week or a specific day of work. Most volunteers commit to two day per week. However all volunteer must be able to volunteer a 2 dep per week. It’s entirely up to you. 
 
The only requirement for volunteering with us is an interest in spending time with children and the ability to be friendly and respectful towards children.
