Each day within our theme the children will have the opportunity to do an art or sport-based activity and a choice of extra activities to ensure that all children can find something to do which they will enjoy.
During the breaks and after the activity sessions, the children remain fully
supervised but take part in less structured activities. Our facilities
include a room for board games, arts and crafts, videos, competitions, a
main hall for free play and indoor sports, a quiet reading area with
beanbags for children to rest and lots of outdoor space for the children to
participate in outdoor activities.
Children can get involved in all kinds of creative activities such as painting, drawing, mask making, ceramics, puppet making, model-making, jewellery and badge making.
On offer everyday will be a range of outdoor sports, including football, netball, rounders, cricket, badminton, and tennis.
Indoor sports will take place. Children will be offered a variety of indoor sports and games including adapted versions of badminton, short tennis, uni-hoc, and basketball.
We will also play a range of fun games including parachute games, treasure hunts, playground games, role-play, drama games and lots more.
Show:
Because every child is special, we use a tailored approach that enables children of all ages and abilities to fully participate in activities. At the end of each week, your child will join the rest of the group in a small show for friends and family before receiving a personalized certificate to celebrate their time at the playscheme.
Outings:
If the weather permits, all children have the opportunity to go on outings during the playscheme every Thursday. Planned trips this year include the cinema and bowling. A small extra charge will apply for offsite activities. Please do not book your children in for Thursday if you do not wish them to go on an outing.
Variety no matter the age of your child:
We have a wide range of cool equipment which ranges from 4 year olds all the way up to teenagers. That’s why most of our activities are separated dependent upon age and each age group has different areas to play in.
